On 27-28 September 2017, the topic meeting of the project „FabLabNet" took place. The project is financed from the programme Interreg Central Europe.

The meeting was related to the management and on-going implementation of the project and the plans for coming months. The participants were working on the summary of the activities already undertaken, primarily regarding the position of fablabs in the local eco-systems of innovations and how they relate to the regional intelligent specialisations (RIS).
The project enters now the next stage when the pilot actions will be introduced to disseminate the knowledge of fablabs and their possibilities. More information regarding the Fablab of ARR S.A. can be found here: FABLAB24

After the working part of the meeting we had the possibility to visit one of the project partners – the FabLab Bratislava located in the Technology Parks of the Bratislava University. The FabLab Bratislava is equipped in a comprehensive way and has at its disposal diversified paraphernalia like laser cutting plotters, the CNC cutter and the router, sewing machines, 3D scanners and printers and Arduino kits for creation of various electronic devices. A part of the FabLab is related to the robotics. It is well developed and allows to build your own robot or to create the steering panel for 3D scanner or just a remote for window shutters. The possibilities are endless and everyone can find something interesting.

FabLab Bratislava cooperates with many NGOs. It offers workshops, training and competitions for students - some of them are commercial and others free of charge.

Although the FabLab has academic roots, it is open for all innovators who want to make their ideas true.
